Hans straightened up. From all faces he might lay his eyes on, he didn’t suppose to see that one. His posture was noble. It was only the prison bars between them that spoke of the real situation.

“Indeed, I do.” He drawled, keeping his stance.

Her next words, though, had him speechless for a moment. His mouth knitted in confusion, doe gaze wide. “What?” He breathed once he had halfway collected himself, speaking through his teeth rather than with an open mouth. “You cannot be serious.”

“I have neither voiced my apologies, my queen, nor have I received my well deserved punishment.”

                Elsa prepared self for similar reactions, quite too good. Truthfully said, the whole forgiveness decision was made more for her own good, so any sign of pity could disappear and make nights easier to withstand. All the numerous time spent only by thinking about, well, reasons and things, eyes heavy with inadequate sleep.

                 The silver queen let a slight smile crawl in the corners of her lips, orbs glued onto his as she reached for a good, enough response. It wasn’t that easy as it might look. Few words here and there, farewell, evaporation. So much question traveled across her mind that shouldn’t be unanswered, but only if she would remember to ask in the right time.
